Cheselyn Hanofee

Cheselyn Julia Hanofee of White Sulphur Springs, NY, died Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK. She was 89.

The daughter of the late Joseph and Albina Kondzelewicz Lisecki, she was born April 12, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY.

Cheselyn had worked in the finance department for the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department in Monticello, NY and retired after 20 plus years; and she had been a member of the White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Martin Hanofee of Alexandria, VA; one brother, Richard Lisecki; and four grandchildren, Terrance Hanofee, Cian Hanofee, Cheselyn Hanofee, and Sandra Hanofee.

She was predeceased by her husband, Francis “Stretch” A. Hanofee whom she married in September of 1961; and one son, Sean Hanofee.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11 AM in the White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church, State Route 52, White Sulphur Springs, NY.  The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.

Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, NY.
