Fay Joslyn Scott (nee Pierce) passed peacefully on May 7, 2018 at the age of 89.
Beloved wife of the late Wesley Ray Scott; loving mother of Barbara (Ron) Jockers of Cleveland, GA, Bradley (Michele) Scott of St. Peters, MO, Linda (Alan) Rajlevsky of Kenoza Lake, NY, dear grandmother of 10; and great grandmother of 6. Fay is also survived by her sister Mina (Dan) Napierala of Crossville, TN and brother John (Joan) Pierce of Ann Arbor, MI.
Fay received her BS in Education from Buffalo State Teachers College and was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. Fay met Wesley during a sorority event and they married on June 7, 1948. Fay and Wes raised their family in N. Massapequa, NY and were founding and active members of Unity Church of Christianity in Valley Stream, NY. They retired to St. Augustine, FL. where they were active in the St. Augustine Shores community. Fay became an active member and loved the Village Church at World Golf Village, FL. She was an avid golfer later in life and was quite proud that she scored a hole-in-one.
Services: Celebration of Life service at Unity North Atlanta, 4255 Sandy Plains, Marietta GA, Saturday 7 July, 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alzfdn.org) or The Village Church (www.villagechurchwgv.com). A private ceremony is planned for interment with Wes in St. Augustine Memorial Park in Florida.
