Franklin Wofford

Franklin Andrew Wofford was born on January 19, 1919 to the late John Wesley Wofford and Mary Seaborne Wofford in Greenville, South Carolina.

Franklin, known as Frank, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 10, 2019 at 4:18 pm at the Sarah Neuman - The New Jewish Home in Mamaroneck, NY with his loving wife Brenda Wofford by his side. Frank served his country honorably for 3 years in the U.S. Army. He worked for a taxi company in White Plains, NY, and eventually had his own business with his private cab. He retired as a custodian for the St. Albans Presbyterian Church in St Albans, NY. He met and married Brenda Covington in 1979. They were inseparable and loved their life and children. Frank always expressed his desire that his children should love each other and be together, that they would know his great love for them, and that he would know what it was like to turn one hundred years old. Preceding him in death are his brothers, Benjamin Franklin Wofford, John Wofford, and William Wofford, his sister, Aurelia F. Griffith, and his loving daughter, Andrea Wofford. Frank leaves behind his wonderful and loving wife Brenda Wofford, two wonderful sons, Andrew Wofford, and Anthony Covington Sr, and one beautiful daughter, Kellie Y. Wofford, six grandchildren: Kesha Wofford, Triena Wofford, Shaun Wofford, Sheldon Wofford, Anthony Covington Jr., and Selena Covington and a host of greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 12 Noon to 2 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 2 PM in the funeral home.  The Rev. Norman Graves will officiate.

Burial will be in the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
