Gaetano "Guy" Villari

Gaetano “Guy” Villari of Liberty, NY, a musician and a long time area resident, passed away Friday September 21, 2017 at the Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY.  He was 75.

The son of the late Louis Villari and the former Rose Servillo, he was born August 11, 1942 in the Bronx, NY.

Guy was the lead singer of the 60’s rock group “The Regents” who recorded the hit song “Barbara Ann” and many other hit records including “Runaround”, “Liar” and “Laura”.  His high intensity performances lasted well into the 90’s.  He has an online radio show, “Good Times Rock and Roll”; had been a horse owner, driver, and trainer at several “trotter tracks”; and he was a very creative model train enthusiast and builder.  Guy will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, creativity and wonderful sense of humor.

Survivors include his sister, Sunday Kroczak, and her husband Walter of Yonkers, NY; one daughter, Catherine V. Best of Brewster, NY; two grandchildren, Caitlyn and John; and one nephew, William Kroczak, and his wife Samantha of Hartsdale, NY; and his loving and devoted partner, Judith Saracino.

Funeral services will be private.
