Lewis W. Kleingardner, Sr. of Livingston Manor, NY, a retired diesel mechanic for Luzon Oil Company in Hurleyville, NY, died on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Wilson Regional Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. He was 67.
The son of the late Charles and Veronica Froelich Kleingardner, he was born November 9, 1950 in Livingston Manor, NY.
Lewis enjoyed hunting, four wheeling, and spending his time with family members; he always had a sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife, Karen S. Thomas Kleingardner, at home; two daughters, Laura Kleingardner of Livingston Manor, NY and Holly Gassler of Livingston Manor, NY; two sons, Lewis W. Kleingardner, Jr. and his wife Linda of Woodridge, NY and Jeffrey Kleingardner and his wife Melissa of Livingston Manor, NY; three brothers, Charles Kleingardner and his wife Linda of Central Square, NY, Gary Kleingardner and his wife Linda of Ocala, FL and Randy Kleingardner and his wife Liz of Liberty, NY; three sisters, Linda Nietzel of White Sulphur Springs, NY, Peggy Banner and her husband Bruce of Syracuse, NY and Kelly Stevens of Shelbyville, TN; six grandchildren, Aryanna & David Staudt, Michael Stickle, Jaimie Sklar, Casie & Courtney Kleingardner; and seven great grandchildren, Alanna & Rhylie Lorino, Emmett Kleingardner, Kaylin & Lucas Sklar, Wyatt Stickle, and Aria Ayscue; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one granddaughter, Madeline Grace Kleingardner in 2014; one brother, Allie Kleingardner; and one son in law, John Gassler, Jr.
Visitation will be Monday, April 30, 2018 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.
Funeral services will be Monday April 30, 2018 at 1 PM in the funeral home. Father Edward Bader will officiate.
Graveside interment will be held at a later date.
