Rose loved to cook, garden and to shop. She loved to find unique things to sell in her thrift store. She was an avid dancer who was known to cut a rug anytime a good song came on and although she suffered a debilitating stroke in 2010 she still had better moves than anyone in the family. This was especially true when her favorite song Lean Back by Fat Joe came on.
Despite the many challenges Rose experienced in life she remained humble and strong. She was always appreciative of the care that was provided to her by her family. especially to her daughter Loretta who she resided with. Her family made sure she never had a need that wasn’t met. Whether it was a fresh cup of coffee, a weekly trip to Marshall’s, waking Loretta at 3am to fix her shade, or beckoning Billie Jo to inform her that she had a tiny chip in her nail... Her family proudly took care of it all.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County, CRMC ER, teams on the Second and fifth floor and to the RT department. And a very special thank you to her grandchildren who played a pivotal role in her care.
