William Harris

Dr. William W. Harris of Liberty, NY, a retired Psychologist and owner of Ancillary Psych & Tech Services in Liberty, NY died Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty, NY. He was 93.

He was born on March 29, 1924 in Bridgeport, CT.

William served Our Country in the United States Army during World War II. Following his service, he acquired his PhD in Psychology. He worked as a Psychologist for several school districts in Sullivan County, Sullivan County Mental Health Clinic and Woodbourne Correctional Facility before opening his private practice.  He was a Communicant of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Liberty, NY.

Survivors include one step son; Ron Borella and his wife Audrey of Lake City, FL, one step daughter; Karen DeSantis and her husband Warren of Wellington, FL, one daughter-in-law, Agnes Harris, three granddaughters; Josephine, Kristen, and Jennifer, three grandsons; Brian, Darren, and Jon-Mark, and four great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Rita A. Perniciaro Harris; one son, Daniel Harris; and his grandson, Kevin.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 10 AM-11:30 AM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11:30 AM in the funeral home. Father William Scafidi will officiate.

Burial with military honors will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY.
