Willy A. Bartschi of Roscoe, NY, a retired meat cutter at Peck’s Market in Livingston Manor, NY and a lifelong area resident died peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY. He was 76.

The son of the late Willy F. and Etta Bowers Bartschi, he was born March 11, 1942 in Roscoe, NY.

Willy enjoyed gardening, making wine, and spending time with his family.  He liked watching Turner Classic Movies and Fox News.

Survivors include his sons, Christopher Bartschi and his wife Toni of Lisle, NY, Eric D. Bartschi and his wife Desiree of Yorktown, VA, Willy H. Bartschi and his wife Maroi of Ireland, and Patrick Bartschi and his companion Sara of OR; two sisters, Carole Currey and her husband Steve of Roscoe, NY and Judy Closs and her husband Albert of Roscoe, NY; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie A. Burns Bartschi on January 16, 2002; one daughter, Cindy Bartschi in 1990; one sister, Trudy Bartschi; and one brother, Terry Bartschi.

Visitation will be Friday, August 31, 2018 from 9 to 11 AM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave, Roscoe, NY

Funeral services will be Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11 AM in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.

Memorial contributions in Willy’s name may be made to the Sullivan County SPCA, 104 Rock Hill Drive, Rock Hill, NY 12775 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
