Alexa "Gabby" Rodriguez

Alexa G. “Gabby” Rodriguez of Liberty, NY, a customer service employee and a longtime area resident, died Monday, August 15, 2022 at her home. She was 33.

The daughter of Freddy Rodriguez and Maria D. Torres, she was born September 12, 1988 in Brooklyn, NY.

Gabby was a Communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Liberty, NY; she was a graduate of Liberty Central School, where she had played soccer and track & field; she was a member of Liberty Alive and was instrumental in establishing the Liberty Skate Park where she enjoyed skateboarding and being a biker.  She had a love of nature, was humorous and will be remembered for her laugher.  Her family and friends were very important to her.

Survivors include her mother, Maria Torres of Ferndale, NY; her father, Freddy Rodriguez of Long Island; one sister, Alyssa Padilla and her husband Victor of Middletown, NY; one son, Joseph Arias, Jr.; two daughters, Lennox P. Lyons and Willow R. Lyons; one nephew, Myles Padilla; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:30 PM at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church 264 No. Main Street, Liberty, NY.  Father Edward Bader will officiate.
