Angelica "Angie" Rodriguez

Angelica (Angie) Rodriguez of Liberty, NY was born on 12/2/68 in the Bronx to Margarita Rodriguez.

She was a twin and was predeceased by her sister Evelyn. Angie was a Willowbrook class member residing at the Willowbrook Developmental Center in Staten Island from 1971-1977. She was placed under the auspices of UCP of NYS in 1977. On January 16, 1985 she was admitted to the Berman ICF at The Center for Discovery. In August of 1990, Angie moved into the Wawanda ICF in Liberty NY.  Angie continued to live there until her passing on March 6, 2026.

Angelica was a bright light in all of the lives she touched. She was known for her bubbly personality and bright smile.  Despite whatever challenges came her way, she always had a smile, and welcomed all who came to visit Wawanda house.  Angie enjoyed the animal therapy program, music and loved shopping. She was up for any adventure that was thrown her way and enjoyed life.

Angelica leaves behind her Center family and many friends that she has known for over thirty years.  Angie also received representation and support from the Willowbrook Consumer Advisory Board, including Sheila Barry and Heather Hatt, who had a special place in her life. Angie touched many people over the years and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 12 from 10-11:30 AM at Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty NY. Funeral service will start at 11:30 AM led by the Center for Discovery staff.

Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, NY.
