Carol A. Bennett of Jeffersonville, NY a home maker, died Thursday, May 14, 2025 at her home, with her daughter at her side. She was 96.
The daughter of Carola Wissmeyer, she was born November 10, 1929 in Munich, Germany. During World War II, Carol and her husband, Thomas, journeyed to the United States to begin a new chapter in life together. She later worked for many years as a talented seamstress in New York City, where her skill, dedication, and artistry were admired by many.
Carol found great joy in the simple beauties of life. She was an avid gardener who treasured nature and took pride in the flowers and landscapes she lovingly tended. She also had a deep passion for travel and cherished the opportunity to explore countries and cultures around the world. Her adventurous spirit, quiet strength, and appreciation for beauty left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Survivors include her daughter, Monica Bennett of Jeffersonville, NY; and her son, Robert Bennett and his wife Marida of Freeport, NY; two granddaughters, Amanda Kavajian of Brooklyn, NY and Andrea Kavajian of WA.
