Carole Sue Sipple

Carole Sue Sipple, age 83, passed away on February 7, 2026, at Garnet Health Medical Center in Callicoon, New York.

Born on August 16,1942, in the Bronx, New York, Carole lived a life centered around family, dedication, and care for others. She worked as a senior account clerk at Delaware Valley Central School and was also a devoted homemaker, roles she fulfilled with quiet strength and reliability.

Carole had a true passion for cooking and baking, and she expressed her love most often through the meals and treats she prepared for those around her. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, warmth, and generosity—memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.

In addition to her devotion to family, Carole was actively involved in her community. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Allan Milk VFW Memorial Post #7276, served as a chairman of the Sullivan County Republican Committee from 1978 to 1985, and was a member of the Fremont Center Cemetery Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mathilde and George Burkhardt; her daughter, Audra Spath; and her grandchildren, John Wayne Spath III and Baylee Anne Spath.

Carole is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Walter Sipple; her brother, George (Carol) Burkhardt; her sons, George (Karen) Sipple, Gregg Sipple and his companion Kippy Hemmer, and Garry (Sheila) Sipple; her son-in-law, John Spath Jr.; her grandchildren, Melina Sipple, Walter (Robyn) Sipple, Courtney (Kyle) Dox, Sydney Sipple, Alan Sipple and his fiancée Kali Aswad, and Karlee and Kara Spath; and her great-granddaughter, Arista Sipple. She is also survived by her cousin, Walter Burkhardt and family in Germany, as well as countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A huge thank you to staff at the Garnet Medical Health Center in Callicoon for the endless hours spent making her comfortable and providing end of life care as well as the Upper Delaware Volunteer Ambulance Corp for safely transporting her as needed. A special thank you to Barbara Yelekli and Patti McGurrin for the countless hours spent making Carole comfortable throughout the last few years, and especially during her final days.

Services will be private and held for family only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fremont Center Cemetery Association, mailed c/o Barbara Yelekli, 51 Tennanah Lake Road, Roscoe, NY 12776.
