Casandra Deborah Hercules of Liberty, NY, a retired Family Care Provider for Rockland Psychiatric Center, and a longtime area resident died Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at her home. She was 72.
The daughter of the late Augustus and Ruby Baptiste Pascall, she was born November 3, 1953 in Maraval, Trinidad.
Casandra was known for her strong faith in God, helping others and her vivacious personality. In her youth, she played for the National Netball Team in Trinidad and played in Australia and England in Championship Games. She immigrated to the United States in 1980 and focused on providing for her family. She worked at the Sullivan County Infirmary before opening her family care home, where she served individuals with developmental and mental health needs for over 25 years. Casandra enjoyed cooking, gardening and traveling. She was very generous in providing to St. Jude and Catholic Charities.
Survivors include two daughters, Ayana Pascall and her husband Michael Weir of Newburgh, NY and Alexandria Hercules of Yonkers, NY; one son, Brian Hercules and his companion Angeline LaMarca of Kerhonkson, NY; one brother, Robert Pascall of Roscoe, NY; and two granddaughters, Deviana and Vaeda Rayne.
Visitation will be Monday, December 22, 2025 from 11AM-1PM
in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 22, 2025 at 1 PM in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions in Casandra’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Catholic Charities.
