Charlene R. Meola of Livingston Manor, NY, formerly of Roscoe, NY, a former Town of Rockland Deputy Town Clerk and a longtime area resident died Thursday, June 25, 2026 at home. She was 89.

The daughter of the late Adam and Marie Wachendorf Baum, she was born March 11, 1937 in Jersey City, NJ.

Charlene is a former member of the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She and her late husband had owned and operated Meola's Delhi's in Roscoe, Liberty and Jeffersonville. She enjoyed bowling.

Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Meola of Leland, NC; one sister, Patricia Mootz and her husband Skip of Poughkeepsie, NY; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Meola; four children, JoAnne, Joseph, Jr., James and Johnny; and by a brother, Adam George Baum.

Graveside services and burial will be Friday, July 10, 2026 at 1 PM in the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery Sunset Lake Road, Liberty, NY. Ralph Bressler, Lead Pastor of The Journey at Horton Brook Church will officiate.
