Dale E. Browne-O'Dell

Dale E. Browne-O’Dell of Cuddebackville, NY, the former owner of O’Dell Country Store in Cuddebackville, NY and a long time area resident died on Friday, September 18, 2026 at The Care Center at Sunset Lake in Liberty, NY. She was 85.

The daughter of the late Arthur and Anne Woolaver Leinbach, she was born May 19, 1941 in Binghamton, New York.

Dale enjoyed gardening, being surrounded by flowers, listening to the birds and animals in nature, cooking, and cracking jokes. She is described by her birthday month color: Gold. “You have a happy-go-lucky spirit and spread cheer wherever you go. You are always there for others, and you cheer up your friends and family after a bad day. Making new friends is a breeze for you with your outgoing personality.”

Dale is survived by her children, Raymond Scott Browne in Aurora, CO, Curtis Browne and his wife Maryann of White Lake, NY, Michael Browne and his wife Mari of Callicoon, NY, and Lisa Ryder of Port Jervis, NY; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Ronald O’Dell.

Graveside services and burial will be Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 11AM in Mt. Hope Plains Cemetery, Otisville, NY.
