Dale P. Price

Dale P. Price of Neversink, NY, a retired Bakery Manager and Carpentry Supervisor at Frost Valley YMCA for over 40 years, and lifelong area resident of Sullivan County, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026. He was 68.

What can one say about a man like Dale, when no words can really do him justice?

Dale’s life spoke for itself. He was genuine, funny, loving, and kind. He was a friend to everyone he met, and always happy to lend a helping hand. Artistic and creative, he was always teaching himself new skills, from woodworking to knife-making, stained glass to wine making, and many more. He did it all, and did it well, sharing his many creations with family and friends.

Much of Dale’s life was spent outdoors, as he had great love and respect for nature and all its creatures from an early age. He particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing, hiking, foraging, and simply enjoying a quiet evening out on the back patio.

He was the best Husband, Father, Grandfather, Friend, and role model anyone could ask for.

Dale was predeceased by his parents, Robert E. and Alice V. Pere Price, and his sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Ron Deppa. Survivors include his wife, Eva N. Price; his children, Caroline “Kat” Beckett and Michele Brink, and her husband Justin; his grandchildren, El, Sunny, Eliza, Cady, and Micah; his brother Robert “Skip” Price and his wife Barbara; his sister Cynce Michel and her husband Bill; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private burial will be held at the Sullivan County Veterans’ Cemetery in Liberty, NY on October 29th, 2026. Afterwards, A Celebration of Life will be held at Frost Valley YMCA for family, friends, and acquaintances at the East Valley Ranch, Claryville, NY from 2pm-5pm. Please feel free to drop in during that time.
