David Allen

David Allen of Liberty, NY, a long-time area resident, died Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the Fulton Center for Rehabilitation, Gloversville, NY.  He was 67.

The son of the late Paul A. Clark, Sr. and Sydney Burnett Clark, he was born August 28, 1952 in Ridley Park, PA.

David loved unselfishly and fought tirelessly to give his wife, Leigh, the best life she could have before she passed of MS.  Aside from her, his passions were vegetable gardening, caring for his numerous pets; who he always called babies; watching the Philadelphia Eagles and showing compassion for others through his enjoyment of cooking and interest in their life.

Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth McDonnell-Clark; two brothers, Paul Clark, Jr. and Jon Clark; one sister, Patricia Clark Nichols; sister-in-law, Denise Fields and her husband Dennis; brother-in-law, Bruce Steifman and his wife Jody; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by the love of his life, Leigh M. Allen on December 2, 2015.

Graveside services and burial will be Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 1:30 PM at the Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, NY.   Social distancing guidelines must be met, facemasks are required.

Memorial contributions in David's name may be made to an animal charity of one's choice.
