Deneen D. Sterrett

Deneen D. Sterrett of Manhattan, NY, formerly of Sullivan County, NY died Sunday, September 13, 2026 at her home in New York City. She was 62.

The daughter of the late Lora Sterrett, she was born July 18, 1964 in NYC, NY.

Deneen was a Direct Support Professional and had worked for Sullivan ARC and The Center for Discovery. She enjoyed interior design and decorating. Cooking holiday meals and cruising in her Cadillac were special times spent with family. She will be remembered for her stylish dress and contagious smile.

Survivors include her Life Partner, Michael A. Banks of Monticello, NY; three daughters, Catherine "Cathy" Banks and her fiancé, Van Tu of Plainview, NY, Christine Banks of New York, NY, and Courtney Banks of Boynton Beach, FL; one son, Clay Banks of Livingston Manor, NY; three grandchildren, London, Cassius "Chay", and Elijah; one brother, Duray Sterrett and his wife Judy of Greenwich, CT, one stepson, Michael Banks, Jr. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 12 noon - 2 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 2 PM in the funeral home.

Lay Reader Sharon Branning will officiate.

Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
