Diane L. Edwards

Diane L. Edwards of Downsville, NY a retired insurance agent for Gladstone Insurance Agency in Downsville, NY and a longtime area resident died Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at her home. She was 71.

The daughter of the late Charles and Jacqueline Larson Amato, she was born August 27, 1953 in Franklin Square, NY.

Diane worked alongside her brother as an insurance agent for many years at Gladstone Insurance. After retirement, she enjoyed playing at the casino.

Survivors include her son, Michael Edwards and his fiancé Sue-Anne Cocks of Downsville, NY; a granddaughter Hannah Edwards of Downsville, NY; a brother James Amato of Downsville, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Glenn Edwards in 2018.

At this time, Diane’s family is celebrating her life privately.
