Donald E. Hallenbeck, Sr.

Donald E. Hallenbeck, Sr. of Fallsburg, NY a self-employed contractor and a life long area resident, died Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility, Liberty, NY. He was 90.

The son of the late William J. and Anna V. Hallenbeck, he was born May 25, 1934 in Fallsburg, NY.

Donald proudly served Our Country in the US Army. He spent much of his time outdoors, mostly hunting and fly fishing. In later years, Donald fed the deer instead of hunting them. He loved animals and ran his own hobby farm.

Survivors include his son, Donald Hallenbeck, II and his wife Brittany of Rensselaer, NY and one sister, Anna of South Fallsburg, NY. He was predeceased by his companion of many years, Loretta; two brothers, Thomas and William; and three sisters, Margaret, Agnes and Rosalina.

Graveside services and burial with military honors will be Monday, September 9, 2024 at 2 PM in the Hurleyville Cemetery, Hurleyville, NY.
