Douglas Esselmann

Douglas G. Esselmann of Livingston Manor, NY, formerly of Kenoza Lake, NY, died Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the Care Center at Sunset Lake in Liberty, NY. He was 65.

The son of the late Carl F. and Teresa Allgeier Esselmann, he was born October 9, 1959 in Liberty, NY.

Doug was a graduate of the Jeffersonville-Youngsville Central School, Class of 1978. He attended Pratt University in New York City. He was a very talented artist and used his skills as an embroider in the garment industry working for Eaves Brooks Co. and later Penn and Fletcher. Doug loved to read and do genealogy, searching his family tree back to Europe.

Survivors include his sister, Marian Hosking and her husband David of White Sulphur Springs, NY; two nieces, Allison Pabon and her husband Jason of Monticello, NY and Amy Hosking of Savannah, GA; and his best friend, Chelsea Rousso. The family wishes to thank the Unit Four staff at the Care Center for all of the compassionate care give to Doug.

Visitation will be Monday, September 29, 2025 from 10 AM-12 Noon in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 29, 2025 at 12 Noon in the funeral home. Pastor Joycalyn M. Jordan will officiate.

Dignified cremation will be provided by Harris Crematorium, LLC. Private burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Youngsville, NY.
