Douglas J. Fielder

Douglas James Fielder of Mahwah, NJ and Beaverkill, NY, an employee of Koellmann Gear in Waldwick, NJ, died Friday, November 26, 2021, at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ.  He was 62.

The son of the late George B. Fielder, Jr. and Dorothy Grace Obecny, he was born November 30, 1958, in Jersey City, NJ.

Douglas was a mechanic for 42 years at Koellmann Gear and he was the co-founder and lead singer of the band, “The Burnt”.

Survivors include his sister, Bonnie Klein and her husband, John; and his girlfriend of 28 years, Susan Brotherton.

Douglas was predeceased by his loving parents and his brother, George Fielder III.

A special thank you to Josh Yost and his family at Koellmann Gear.  Douglas grew up in Midland Park, NJ and Beaverkill, NY.

Ozzie said it best, “No More Tears.”  “To know him was to love him.”  Until we meet again Doug- Rest in Peace.

The family has chosen to remember Doug’s life privately at this time.
