Dylan Dainack

Dylan J. Dainack of Hurleyville, NY, a police officer for Fallsburg Police Department, Fallsburg, NY and a lifelong area resident died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at his home.

The son of Genevieve Kupiec Dainack and Stephen J. Dainack, he was born September 29, 1981 in Middletown, NY.

Dylan was a member of the Hurleyville Volunteer Fire Company No. 1. Dylan was an avid snowmobile and ATV enthusiast. He loved being outdoors especially with his dogs. Dylan will be loved and remembered forever by his family and friends.

Survivors include his loving mother, Genevieve Dainack of Forestburgh, NY; his father, Stephen Dainack and his wife Denise of TN formerly of Hurleyville, NY; his beloved maternal grandmother, Wanda Kupiec of Liberty, NY; his brother, Dustin Dainack and his wife Alyssa of Westchester, NY; his long-time girlfriend, Megan Hobby of Hurleyville, NY; two young nephews, Jack and Luke Dainack; two step sisters, Sarah Rausch of TN and Carly Shea and her husband Kevin of VA; one step brother, Seth Rausch and his wife Reyna of TN; aunts and uncles, Christiane Emery and her husband Kenneth, Dennis Dainack and his wife Lois, Roger Dainack and his wife Mary, Bruce Dainack and Mark Brozik; several cousins including, Travis Emery and Zack Emery.

He was predeceased by one aunt, Debbie Brozik; his maternal grandfather, Jean Kupiec; and his paternal grandparents, John and Eileen Dainack.

Visitation will be Monday, April 10, 2017 from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church 264 No. Main Street, Liberty, NY. Father William Scafidi will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
