Elmiro J. DeFalco

Elmiro J. DeFalco of Harris, NY, a lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at the Garnet Health Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 77.

The son of the late Elmiro and Thelma Halley DeFalco, he was born July 4, 1948 in Port Chester, NY.

Elmiro was a computer programmer from the Sullivan County Social Services in Monticello, NY and retired after 20 years. After retirement, he worked security for Bethel Woods. At home he was known for tinkering with things and making his own adjustments.

Survivors include his brother, Lawrence DeFalco and his wife Marilyn of White Plains, NY; niece, Danielle Camacho with her husband, Matthew of Hillsdale, NY; brother-in-law Willy Nye and his wife Debbie of Larchmont, NY; niece-in-law Nicole Nye; and three great-nephews Valentino, Sebatian, and Luigi.

He was predeceased by his wife Eleanor DeFalco on October 26, 2023.

At this time the family has chosen to celebrate Elmiro’s life privately.
