Elvin R. "Chip" Adams, III

Elvin R. “Chip” Adams, III of Downsville, NY, a retired owner of Chip’s Volvo Repair in Walden, NY, died Saturday, March 21, 2026 at home. He was 70.

The son of the late Elvin R., II and Roberta Williamson Adams, he was born October 21, 1955 in Newburgh, NY.

Chip loved hunting, fishing, playing a round of golf, and bowling.

Survivors include his wife, Marie at home; his son, Chris and his wife Debra of Pine Bush, NY; his grandson, Zachary; and five sisters.

At this time, Chip’s family is celebrating his life privately.
