Ernest K. Wagner

Ernest K. Wagner of Liberty, NY a long time area resident, died Sunday, November 16, 2025 at his home. He was 86.

The son of the late Micheal Augustine Wagner and Susan Julia Longton, he was born November 19, 1938 in Clayton, New York.

Ernest was a graduate of Clayton High School, Class of 1956; where he was a member of the Quiz Team, participated in the School Band, Jr. and Sr. Plays and assistant Editor of the Yearbook. He was his Class Vice President and President. After high school, Ernest enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served our country from 1961 to 1963.

Survivors include his daughter, Caroline J. Guerrieri and her husband John; one sister, Anne Wagner; two brothers, Paul Wagner and Joseph Wagner; one sister in law, Maggie Wagner; and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandson, Brock Guerrieri in 2008; one brother, Norman Wagner in 2015; and one sister-in-law, Joan Wagner in 2015.
