Evelyn Case

Evelyn R. Case of Liberty, NY, a home maker and a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center, Liberty, NY.  She was 97.
The daughter of the late Edwin and Carrie Hogencamp Roth, she was born January 11, 1920 in White Sulphur Springs, NY.
Evelyn was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Group; she had worked at the Liberty Elementary School as a remedial reading mentor and a "grandma"; and a member of the Catskill Regional Antique Car Club.  She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and spending time with Craig's dog, Ronnie.
Survivors include one son, Craig Case of Liberty, NY; two grandsons, Curtis Case of NY and Blake Case of Liberty, NY; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clifton L. Case; and one brother, Charles Roth.
Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 5, 2017 at 8 PM in the funeral home.  The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.
A graveside committal service and burial will be Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 10 AM in the Liberty Cemetery, Cold Spring Rd., Liberty, NY.
Memorial contributions in Evelyn's name may be made to the Liberty United Methodist Church, 170 North Main Street, Liberty, NY 12754.
