Evelyn Cox

Evelyn C. Cox of Roscoe, NY, a home maker and a lifelong area resident, died Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Chase Rehab. And Nursing Facility, New Berlin, NY.  She was 94.

The daughter of the late Carmi and Alta Gregory Hinman, she was born December 9, 1926 in the Town of Colchester, NY.

Survivors include her sons, Charles W. Cox and his wife Lynn of Noti, OR, Ward F. Cox and his wife Trudy of Williamsburg, VA, Carl V. Cox and his wife Joanne of Herber, AZ, Martin L. Cox and his wife Penny of Morris, NY and Delbert A. Cox of Roscoe, NY; one daughter, Patricia Sprague of Livingston Manor, NY; one stepdaughter, Joan Van Slooten and her husband Dave of Greene, NY; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Charles V. Cox; one daughter, Marion Edwards; three brothers, Fred Hinman, Frank Hinman and Harley Hinman; two sisters, Marjorie Rood and Edna Lake; and one grandson, Ward Cox, Jr.

Burial will be private in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.  Memorial services will be held at a later date.
