Florence M. Hale

Florence M. Hale of Downsville, NY, a retired cafeteria worker for the Downsville Central School and a lifelong area resident died Saturday, June 22, 2024 at her home. She was 68.

The daughter of the late Wesley B. and Florence M. Noble Martin, she was born May 1, 1956 in Walton, NY.

Florence enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and her great grandson. Prior to being employed at the school, she had worked at the Downsville Diner for several years.

Survivors include her husband, Greg Hale, at home; one daughter, Wendy Brown of Walton, NY; one son, Brian Hale of East Branch, NY; three sisters, Joyce Skiff of TN, Ethel Martin of SD, and Lori Givney and her husband Mike of TN; one brother, Wesley “Pudge” Martin and his wife Janet of NC; five grandchildren, one great grandson, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 11 AM - 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.  Dignified cremation will be provided by the Harris Crematorium, LLC.
