Frank Zayas

Frank A. Zayas of Livingston Manor, New York, beloved father of two, devoted brother, son, uncle, and dear friend, and a lifelong resident of the area, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the age of 66.

The son of Barbara Jones Zayas and the late Francisco L. Zayas, he was born April 24, 1960, in Liberty, NY.

Frank was a hardworking and dedicated man who found great joy in the outdoors. He was a motivated logger who loved nature and cherished his time hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic and his deep appreciation for the beauty of the outdoors. Frank was naturally very talkative, the kind of person who loved to greet everyone he met and welcomed anyone new to town. He was always offering a helping hand, ready to lend his services whenever needed. With an incredible green thumb passed down through the family, he brought life and warmth to every space he touched. His kindness and helpful nature will be remembered by all who knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Barbara Jones Zayas of Livingston Manor, NY; his sons, Brandon Zayas and his girlfriend Jessica Epifania of Rock Hill, NY and Michael Zayas and his wife Solmary of Woodridge, NY; three brothers, Angelo Zayas of Livingston Manor, NY, Merton Zayas of Parksville, NY, Christopher Zayas and his wife Stacey of Jeffersonville, NY; two sisters, Linda Christian and her husband Edward of New Windsor, NY and Nancy Raisor of Wilmington, NC; three grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Francisco L. Zayas, Sr.; and one brother, Francisco L. Zayas, Jr. 

Graveside services and burial will be Friday, September 18, 2026, at 2 PM in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Livingston Manor, NY. Rev. Richard Ienuso will officiate.
