Geraldine Coble

Geraldine Coble, 91, of Monticello, NY a home maker and a long time area resident, died Friday, June 27, 2025.

The daughter of Lawrence Williams and Eliza Vinson, she was born August 21, 1933 in Selma, Johnston County, NC.

Geraldine was a graduate of Smithfield-Selma High School; she was witty, soft-spoken and shy. She will be missed by all her knew her.

Survivors include her daughter, Mavis Graham (Sylvester) Durham, NC; her son, Kenneth Ira Coble (Los Angeles CA), her son, Michael Coble (Dallas TX), her daughter - Gerry Coble Gilbert (Ret. USN), her daughter- Karen Ann Coble (Las Vegas NV); eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; her siblings, Val Williams and Joyce Watkins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Joseph Cole in 1967; her parents; and her brother, Raymond Carmichael.

Graveside services and burial will be Friday, July 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Rock Ridge Cemetery, Rock Ridge Ave, Monticello, NY.  The Rev. Douglas Bowman will officiate.

Geraldine’s family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Care Center at Sunset Lake for their care and compassion.
