Gina Davidson Tanaka

Gina Davidson Tanaka of Johnstown, PA, formerly of Sullivan County, NY, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on July 6, 2026 at her home. Gina devoted many years of her life to caring for others as a nurse, a profession she carried out with compassion, kindness, and dedication. Her gentle spirit and caring heart touched the lives of countless patients, friends, and loved ones throughout her career.

Gina was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Douglas Tanaka, and a proud and caring mother to her two sons, Madison Lima and Lexington Tanaka. Family was the center of Gina's life, and she found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved most. She will be remembered for her warmth, sense of humor, generosity, and the love she shared so freely with family and friends.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Brian Davidson and Brad Davidson.

Gina is survived by her beloved husband, Douglas Tanaka; her sons, Madison Lima and Lexington Tanaka; her parents, Bruce and Agnes Davidson; her brothers, Bruce Davidson and his wife Mary, Brendan Davidson and his wife Jessica; her sisters, Melissa Corigliano, Elizabeth Davis and her husband Mike, Michelle Ferguson and her husband Robert, Katie Cross and her husband Drew, stepsister, Gina Jordan and her husband, Wayne. As well as several cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Gina's kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 9:30 AM-11:30 AM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY. 

Graveside services and burial will be at 12 noon in the Lew Beach Cemetery, Lew Beach, NY. Pastor Ginny Bossley will officiate.
