Howard "Howie" Charles Olsen, Jr.

Howard C. "Howie" Olsen, Jr. of Niles, Ohio, formerly of Sullivan County, NY, died Saturday, September 11, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, OH. He was 70.

The son of the late Howard C., Sr. and Sharron Smith Olsen Reynolds, he was born May 20, 1956 in Callicoon, NY.

Howie was a truck driver, heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors, repairing various mechanical projects and fishing.

Survivors include one daughter, Cora Williams and her husband Phil of Arcade, NY; five sons, Howard C. Olsen, III of No. Carolina, Scott Olsen and his wife Elyssa of No. Branch, NY, Nick Olsen of Jeffersonville, NY, Cody Olsen and his wife Katie of Mountaindale, NY and Adam Olsen of Neversink, NY; two sisters, Della Buley of Pennsylvania and Jeannie Keesler of Neversink, NY; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Olsen and a sister, Donna Olsen.

Visitation will be Monday, September 21, 2026 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 21, 2026 at 7 PM in the funeral home. The Rev. Amy Garrett will officiate.

Dignified cremation will be provided by Harris Crematorium, LLC. Burial of the cremains will be in the Fosterdale Cemetery, Fosterdale, NY at the convenience of the family.
