Howard J. King

Howard J. King of Livingston Manor, NY a retired Correctional Officer at Ulster Correctional Facility, Napanoch, NY and a long-time area resident died Monday, May 4, 2026 at his home. He was 60.

The son of the late Daniel Sr. and Loretta B. Schuchman King, he was born June 10, 1965 in Queens, NY.

Howard enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing the drums and guitar. He loved coming home to his two dogs Star and Ranger, and three cats Noodle, Cheddy bomb, and Oreo.

Survivors include his wife Renee K. King, at home; one brother, Daniel King of Roscoe, NY and Catherine Mathis of Brooklyn, NY.

Visitation will be Friday, May 8, 2026 from 10 AM to 12 Noon in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY. Funeral services will begin at 12 Noon in the funeral home. Father Edward Bader will officiate.
