Jessica Lynne Tyler

Jessica Lynne Tyler, a lifelong resident of Cochecton, NY, passed away at the young age of 39, on January 1, 2026 at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY.

The daughter of Ricky E. and Linda R. (Nober) Tyler, Jessica was born February 2, 1986 in Harris, NY.

After graduating from Sullivan West in 2004, Jessica attended SCCC, OCCC, and more recently SUNY Empire State College at Saratoga Springs. She graduated in May of 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Jessica began her employment with an accounting firm in 2011, first known as Knack & Pavloff, which later transitioned to the firm of Waschitz Pavloff CPA of Monticello, NY. Her hard work and dedication granted her the position of Accountant at the firm.

Jessica will be remembered not only as the beautiful, loving and generous person she was, but also as the courageous, adventurous and very tenacious young woman who has taken on audacious feats such as river rafting and skydiving. She prided herself on keeping physically fit and enjoyed hiking the trails of the Cragsmoor area and Vermont's mountain trails.

Jessica loved and cared for all animals, whether they were pets or wildlife, and sadly leaves behind her pet turtle, "Bobbi Jo".

Survivors include her parents, Ricky and Linda Tyler of Cochecton, NY; two brothers, James R. Tyler of Cochecton, NY and Michael D. Tyler with fiancee Mallory Duffy of Liberty, NY; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and her dearest friends. She was predeceased by a brother, John A. Tyler.

Visitation will be Monday, January 5, 2026 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral home, West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 11 AM in the funeral home. The Rev. Bette Sohm will officiate.

Burial will be in the Laurel Cemetery, Cochecton Center, NY.
