Joan Frances Norris

Joan Frances Norris of Liberty, NY, a lifelong area resident died peacefully Friday, October 24, 2025

at the Achieve Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Liberty, NY. She was 90.

The daughter of the late Charles and Anna Witt Heidt, she was born January 16, 1935 in Liberty, New York.

Joan was a founding member of the Town of Liberty Volunteer Ambulance. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. At the church, she enjoyed being a member of the choir, the Ladies Aid and worked many activities including the dinners.

Survivors include her three children, Glenn Norris and his wife Bonnie of White Sulphur Springs, NY, Karen M. Hayes of Liberty, NY, and Allen Norris of Liberty, NY; four grandchildren, Philip Norris, Jolene Feliciano, Daniel Hayes, and Kevin Norris; nine great-grandchildren; and two nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, October 27, 2025 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 10 AM infuneral home. The Reverend ElizaBeth Nebrasky will officiate.

Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery, Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY.

Memorial contributions in Joan's name may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church 24 Chestnut St., Liberty, NY 12754.
