Judith Ann Boxberger

We mourn the passing of Judith Ann Boxberger. Born on April 22, 1943 in Liberty, NY to the late Herbert F. Boxberger and Dorothy M. Weyrauch-Boxberger; she was a lifelong member of the Liberty community.

Upon graduating from Liberty High School, Judy went to work for Ross Industries of Liberty, New York, the Vistaprint of it's time. She started in the mailroom but her once simple job turned into a lifelong career within the company as she worked through almost every department in her over forty years of service. Even after retiring from full time employment, Judy would go back and help out part time during the busy election seasons.

Judy was an avid gardener, helping her mother tend an almost two acre garden that produced enough vegetables that once canned would last an entire year. Judy enjoyed feeding the birds and the deer out her front window, which she loved watching almost as much as her beloved New York Yankees.

She was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Dorothy; her sister, Joan Boxberger; and her brother, James W. Boxberger.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Marlene A. Boxberger of Cape Coral, FL; her nephew, James W. Boxberger Jr. and wife Victoria L. Schultz-Boxberger of Eldred, NY; grandniece, Sierra N. Boxberger-Soto and husband Edwin Soto; and great grandnieces, Alayna B. Boxberger and Emery R. Soto of Aviano, Italy; her grandnephew, Ryan J. Boxberger and his wife Lorelei Reynolds-Boxberger; and great grandnieces, Gwendolyn I. Boxberger, Sonora G. Boxberger and Amaryllis F. Boxberger of Bethel, NY; and several cousins throughout the country.

Visitation will be Wednesday July 23, 2025 from 12 Noon to 2 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY. Funeral services will begin at 2 PM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Callicoon Center Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the National Audubon Society in Judy's name.
