Kathleen Collins

On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, surrounded by her family, Kathleen Ann Collins, loving wife and mother of two, passed away at age 76.

She was born to James and Sally Coyle of Saddle Brook, NJ.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gregory Collins, her two sons, Timothy and Donovan, her sister Barbara and husband Walter, grandchildren James, Jessica, Jennifer, Erin, Sadie and Charles, and her nephews Byron and Owen.

After marrying her high school sweetheart Gregory, the couple settled down in Oakland, NJ, where together they happily raise their boys. In the Mid 80’s, together they built their dream vacation home in the Catskills, which eventually became their permanent home. Kathleen was a lover of nature, with the local beavers, bears and numerous avian populations being some of her favorites. She was fiercely dedicated to her family and served as the preverbal lighthouse no matter how bad the storm. Her ultimate joy was having her family by her side for picnics, birthdays and holidays. Kathy, as she was known to most, was a friendly, good-hearted person who had many friends in the area who often stopped by for a visit. Her friends would tell you she loved to keep up with their lives and enjoy some good food. She lived an extraordinary life and those who knew her were truly blessed. In lieu of giving flowers, Kathleen would only ask you to hug or call your beloved and tell them you love them, because in her words, it’s the only thing that really matters.

At this time the family has chosen to celebrate Kathy's life privately.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.  607-498-4929 or 845-439-5200
