Laura L. Neer

Laura L. Neer of Hamden, NY, formerly of Livingston Manor, NY, died Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. She was 80.

The daughter of the late Percy and Iona Irwin Banks, she was born March 25, 1945 in Livingston Manor, NY.

Laura had worked as a dietary aide at the Roscoe Community Nursing Home before retirement. She enjoyed playing "words with friends", camping, bowling, baking, cooking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly S. Neer of Hamden, NY, three sons, Darren Young, Paul Young, and Michael Young; two stepchildren, Chella Ascatigno and Jacqueline Jaindl; two sisters, Edna Banks and Beatrice Mazinke; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Gloria Neer; and several nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Banks.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 4-6 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 6 PM in the funeral home. Pastor Shelly Eggleton will officiate.

Burial will be in the Horton Cemetery, Horton, NY.
