Leo Flynn

Leo F. Flynn of Liberty, NY, a retired employee from the Hunt’s Point Market in Hunt’s Point, NY and a long time area resident, died Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Northern Riverview Health Care Center in Haverstraw, NY. He was 85.

The son of the late Leo F., Sr. and Bridget A. Power Flynn, he was born January 12, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY.

Leo was a communicant, a lector, a Eucharistic Minister and an usher at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Liberty NY; he was a member of the Wawarsing Rod and Gun Club; a member of the NRA; a member of the Cusillo Community; a member and past Chaplin of the Liberty Elks Lodge # 1545; and a member of the OB’s.

Survivors his sister, Dolores Palomba; one niece, Lois; and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was Celebrated on Monday, November 6, 2017 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church.  Father William Scafidi officiated.

Burial was in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Liberty, NY.
