Louise Porter

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Louise M. Porter, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Louise passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, at the age of 62 in Monticello, New York.

Born in Stony Point, New York, Louise was the daughter of Ivan and Agnes Williams. She earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing from Sullivan County Community College while working at Sullivan ARC, where she dedicated more than 20 years to supporting and advocating for individuals in her community. Her compassion, kindness, and commitment to helping others touched countless lives.

Louise was a devoted mother to 3 children, and was also a proud grandmother to ten beautiful grandchildren, all of whom will forever cherish the love, guidance, and joy she brought into their lives.

She is survived by her children, W. Allan Porter, Brandon Porter, and Vanessa Howard; her sisters, Lisa Parkinson and Linda Williams-Nguyen; her brothers, Raymond Williams and Richard Williams; her ten grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Agnes Williams, and her brothers, Robert Williams, Roger Williams, and Randy Williams.

Louise found special joy in creativity, crafting, and gardening. Above all else, her greatest happiness came from watching her family grow and being a constant source of love, support, and strength for those she cared about.

The family has chosen to hold a private service on May 31, 2026.
