Marcia Ann Clawson of Middletown, NY a retired Special Education Teacher at Middletown Middle School, Middletown, NY passed away Friday, September 20, 2024 at Roscoe Regional Rehab. and Residential Health Care Facility. She was 89.

The daughter of the late Douglas Prescott and Esther Shaw Clawson, she was born February 1, 1935 in Montclair, NJ.

Marcia was a founding member of the Cross Road Church in Middletown, NY. She enjoyed her work as a teacher and took Missionary Trips to teach in the Philippines, through her with her church. She was a kind and gentle soul who never met a person she did not try to help.

Survivors include her sister, Doris Kapp of Barnstable, MA; her brother, Robert Clawson and his wife Freda of Otisville, NY; sister-in-law, Annette of Lakewood, OH; two nephews and six nieces; several great nieces and great nephews; and great grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Edwin Clawson.

Memorial services for Marcia will be Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 2 PM in the Cross Roads Church, Middletown, NY. The Rev. David Billings will officiate.

Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Cross Roads Church Missionary Fund, 175 Co. Highway 78, Middletown, NY 10940.
