Marianne Gilmore

Marianne Gilmore of Downsville, NY a home maker and a longtime area resident died Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at the Roscoe Regional Rehabilitation and Residential Health Care Facility, Roscoe, NY. She was 79.

The daughter of the late Pasquale and Gerda Norgaard DeNitto, she was born February 13, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY.

Marianne enjoyed cruising to various countries and shopping.

She is survived by her three sons, Michael J. Valentine and his wife Laure of Livingston Manor, NY, Christian Valentine and his wife Danielle of Junction City, KS, and Scott W. Valentine and his wife Jaime of Downsville, NY; her sister, Patrice Skinner and her husband Calvin of Cooksville, TN; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one niece and one nephew. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard “Dirk” Gilmore.

At this time, Marianne’s family is celebrating her life privately. She will be buried in a National Veterans Cemetery with her husband.
