Martha Adelia Luscomb of Downsville, NY, lifelong area resident and retired Nurse’s Aide for the Roscoe Community Nursing Home died Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the Mountainside Residential Care Center, Margaretville, NY. She was 92.
The daughter of the late William and Helen Wright Conklin, she was born April 29, 1933 in Downsville, NY.
Martha married Leonard Luscomb on August 10, 1957. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and a member of the Shinhopple Memorial Center.
Survivors include her special great nephew, Neil Bivens and his wife, Midge; special great great nephew, Dillon Leonard Bivens; special great great niece, Ashley Wall and her husband John; great great great niece, Veronica Adelia Wall; brother, Charlie Conklin and his wife Peggy; sisters, Gail Kauffman and her husband Karl, Gertie Valentine and her husband, Robert, and Susie Conklin and her friend, Sandy Hall.
Predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Leonard Luscomb; her brothers, Dick Conklin, Dale Conklin, and Billy Conklin; her sisters, June Mill and Sally Donisthorpe.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 11 AM in the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 15180 NY-30, Downsville, NY 13755. Father William Wright will officiate.
