Mary Carmichael

Mary E. C. Carmichael of Woodbourne, NY, a home maker and long time area resident died Friday, January 13, 2017 in the Sullivan County Adult Care Center, Liberty, NY. She was 86.

The daughter of the late Arthur and Bridgette Sparrow McNulty, she was born May 23, 1930 in Bronx, NY.

Mary enjoyed painting, art work and caring for her pets. She was a loving and devoted mom and she will be missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the Sullivan County Adult Care Center for the kind and gentle care given to Mary while she was a resident.

Survivors include two sons, George Carmichael of Liberty, NY and Peter Carmichael and his companion Anne Kimiecik of Glen Spey, NY; two daughters, Susan Carmichael of Woodbourne, NY and Patricia Lynch and her husband Dion of Woodbourne, NY; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George on Jan. 10, 1982, a son, Thomas Carmichael and by a sister, Marguerite Daniels.

Visitation will be Friday, January 20, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10 AM in the funeral home. Father William Scafidi will officiate.

Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
