Maynard Davis Jr.

Maynard Davis Jr. of Neversink, NY, a retired member of the Maintenance staff at Sullivan County Community College, died Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Roscoe Rehabilitation and Nursing facility, Roscoe, NY. He was 93.

The son of the late Maynard and Hazel Vandermark Davis, he was born May 10, 1932 in DeBruce, NY.

Maynard was a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his sister; Betty Anne Davis Krum of Livingston Manor, NY; his brothers, Carl Davis of Livingston Manor, NY and Robert Davis of Jeffersonville, NY; his stepchildren Howard, Michael, Olga, and Carol Gildersleeve; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife Edith Wahl Peters and his second wife Anne McGuire, his brother, Herman Davis Sr, a sister Jean Stephenson, and a stepson Patrick Gildersleeve.

Memorial services will be private.
