Michael B. Henry

Michael B. Henry of Ferndale, NY an accounts manager for UPS and a lifelong area resident, died Monday, July 20, 2026 at his home. He was 52.

The son of Susan Evans and the late Roger C. Henry, he was born August 19, 1973 in Cooperstown, NY.

Michael was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping, and golfing. He had a deep appreciation for cooking and the arts and was especially talented culinarian and painter. Michael also found great joy in music, spending many happy times with friends while playing the guitar.

Above all, Michael was devoted to his family. His greatest happiness came from the time he spent with his loved ones, particularly his cherished grandchildren, who held a very special place in his heart. He also had a genuine love for animals and will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the many treasured memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his mother, Susan Garizas and her partner Nick Prague of Liberty, NY; his children, Vincent Henry, Liam Henry, and Victoria Henry all of Liberty, NY; his grandchildren, Kieran M. Henry and Jack Henry; Michael's girlfriend, Ana Ortiz of Ferndale, NY; one sister, Maureen Kellerman and his nieces, Mary Elizabeth, Rachel, and Rebekah; his ex-wife, Valeria Henry; his mother-in-law, Marissa Dos Santos; and many friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Roger C. Henry; and his sister, Darlene Henry.

Visitation will be Friday, July 24, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Saturday July 25, 2026 at 10 AM in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 462 No. Main Street, Liberty, NY. Burial will follow the mass.
