Nancy Kosmolsick

Nancy Kosmolsick of Pine Bush, NY, died peacefully Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Achieve Rehabilitation and Nursing in Liberty, NY. She was 74.

The daughter of the late Sam and Ann “Nancy” Castellano Merone, she was born March 13, 1951 in Mt. Vernon, NY.

Nancy loved to create — to paint, stencil, craft, and decorate. Through her remarkable talent, she transformed her home into a gallery of love, where every room reflected her warmth and care. The sun would stream through her sheer curtains, illuminating spaces adorned in her favorite colors — yellows, purples, pinks, and blues — bringing light and life to all who entered.

Nancy carried within her a profound sense of hope and resilience. She approached each new day on her own terms, always seeking freedom and refusing to let hardship define her destiny. Dangers were met with a spirit of determination and quiet courage.

She found peace in life’s simple, steady routines. Her most treasured moments were the familiar ones spent at home with those she loved, especially her grandsons. Often, you would find her soaking in the sun as she gently rocked in her chair, watching a favorite television show or listening to music — always with a sweet treat close at hand.

Nancy’s quiet presence and steadfast spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

May we remember her for her strength, and in her honor, never give up.

Survivors include her son Trevor Kosmolsick, daughter, Janelle Perrin, and her two grandsons.

At this time, Nancy’s family is celebrating her life privately.

Dignified cremation will be provided by the Harris Crematorium, LLC.
