Nancy G. Nissen

Nancy G. Nissen of Roscoe, NY, a homemaker and lifelong area resident, died Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Garnet Health Hospital, Harris, NY. She was 91.

The daughter of the late Valentine and Lorie Graff Reum, she was born July 27, 1934 in Callicoon, NY.

Nancy was a member of the Roscoe Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening, baking, making jam and jelly, family holiday dinners, searching her genealogy, and driving her lawn mower. She was always available to lend a helping hand. She was a former member of the Riverview Cemetery Association Board of Directors.

For many years, she and her husband owned and operated the Roscoe Motel.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda MacPherson of Roscoe, NY and Kathleen Schultz and her companion, Edwin Campbell of Lew Beach, NY; one son, Edwin Nissen and his wife Yvette of Castro Valley, CA; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Valerie Chevelier of PA; several nieces and nephews, including Linda, (who was like a daughter to her) and her husband, Mike; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a dear friend, neighbor, and dog watcher, Alice Banks. She was predeceased by her husband Eric Nissen in 1999.

Private graveside service and burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY. Pastor Virginia Bossley will officiate.
