Patricia A. Nead

Patricia A. Nead of Roscoe, NY a lifelong area resident, died Thursday, July 2, 2026 at the Roscoe Rehab. and Residential Health Care Facility, Roscoe, NY. She was 87.

The daughter of the late Harold and Esther Ackerson Heaney, she was born May 8, 1939 in Cooks Falls, New York.

Patricia dedicated many years of service to the Substance Abuse Recovery Center in Monticello, New York, where she worked with compassion and commitment until her retirement. In her leisure time, she found enjoyment in solving crossword puzzles, a favorite pastime that reflected her sharp mind and love of a good challenge.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Nead of Livingston Manor, NY and Scott Neal of Melbourne, FL; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Phyllis Lewis and William Heaney.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.   A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 1 PM in the funeral home.  Lead Pastor Ralph Bressler will officiate. Burial will follow in the Cooks Falls Cemetery, Cooks Falls, NY.
